Party and Event Entertainment in St. Louis & Metro East (2026): What's Actually Available

If you are planning a party, a school or church event, or a corporate day around St. Louis and Metro East Illinois, the real options fall into a handful of categories: game trucks, an indoor game arena, laser tag, virtual reality, RC racing, and inflatables. This is the honest overview of each, who it suits, and where to read our full head-to-head comparison of the local companies in that category. We run several of these ourselves and have marked every one clearly.

First, figure out what you are planning

• A backyard birthday — price and simplicity matter most. Game trucks and bounce houses dominate here.
• A school, church, or Scout event — a certificate of insurance and a vendor who runs it without your volunteers matter more than saving fifty dollars.
• A corporate or team event — you want a shared activity that gets people talking, usually indoors, often in winter.
• An indoor date in bad-weather season — the real question becomes what comes inside your building versus what needs a parking lot and a forecast you trust.

The one distinction that decides half the list: most "mobile" entertainment either comes inside your building or stays in a truck or trailer in your lot. Both are good. They are not the same product.

Game trucks

A climate-controlled trailer parked in your lot with gaming stations inside. Several real local companies run them, and most now publish a price: two-hour rentals run roughly $325 to $449, with GameTime, Rolling Video Games, PullUp, Archtowne and our own truck all serving different corners of the metro. Indoor game arena

The other kind of video-game party is a console lounge carried inside your building and set up in the room you already have, so there is no truck in the lot and no weather plan. This is the one to book when the date is in winter or there is no parking.

Me 2 You Game Arena (ours) carries the consoles, screens, tables and lighting into your room. Starter is two Xbox Series S and a Nintendo Switch. Pro adds two PS5s, LED lighting and a router. Up to 20 players in one space. Starter $500 for up to 3 hours, Pro $750 for up to 5 hours, and schools, churches and large events $300 per hour. Details at our game arena page.

Amerevent rents arcade and video-game setups across St. Louis and into Springfield, delivered. The call to make if you want arcade cabinets rather than console stations. No public pricing at the time of writing.

STL Game Rentals is a veteran-owned drop-off party-game company, more cornhole and giant Jenga than consoles. Countercade arcade cabinets are $50 each and party packs start at $125 plus delivery by zone. Not a console lounge, and good at what they are.

Laser tag

Around St. Louis "laser tag" means three different things: indoor blacklight arenas you drive to, outdoor tactical fields you drive to, and mobile companies that bring the field to your backyard, park, gym, or church. Mobile laser tag runs for one flat price per event instead of a ticket per person. Our mobile field (laser tag) sets up indoors or out with no darkness required and no projectiles, from $329, or $600 to $800 for a school or church group visit.

RC racing

RC racing splits into a hobby and an event. A club track is a place you drive to with your own car. A mobile operator brings the cars, the track, and a person to run it.

St. Louis Dirt Burners run a free public RC club track in Greentree Park, Kirkwood, open during park hours, 9am to 6pm. Bring your own car and batteries. It closes during organized races and maintenance. No host, no loaner cars, no event service, because that is not what it is for. If your kid owns a Traxxas and wants somewhere real to run it, this is the answer, and we send people there.

Me 2 You RC Racing (ours) builds a custom RC track on site, sized to your space, indoors or out, with real Traxxas cars and an Event Manager who runs every heat. Up to 16 racers run in heats to a crowned champion, ages 10 and up. The First Lap $300 (one hour), Championship $650 (two hours, live lap times), Grand Prix $999 (full tournament); $300 per hour for schools, churches and large events. Details at our RC racing page.

Game World Events is a real local operator running Micro Reality Racing, a fixed banked oval where drivers sit at a full-size wheel and shifter. A different feel than driving an RC car around a loose course. They do not publish pricing.

The national names in search results are not local. Interactive Entertainment Group's nearest facility is in Bedford, Ohio; National Event Pros is in Seattle and its RC product is currently unavailable to rent; Roaming Raceway is in Suffield, Connecticut ($750 first hour, $250 each additional, plus $1.00 per mile each way from Connecticut); and Races2U is in Austin, Texas, where "racing activations start as low as $2,000." A "St. Louis" page for any of them is a marketing landing page, not a local crew.

Virtual reality

Me 2 You Virtual Reality (ours) sets up four Meta Quest 3 headsets indoors with a host who guides every player, in your space. Bounce houses and inflatables

The largest category in the market, and the one where nearly everyone publishes a starting price on their own site. Published basic bounce houses run from about $150 to $285, but the windows differ — some quote all day, some four hours, some six — so compare the hours as well as the dollars. The bigger split is the river: many of the well-reviewed companies are St. Charles or North County based and do not deliver to Metro East. What to ask every company before you pay a deposit

1. How many hours does the starting price cover? An all-day price and a two-hour price are not the same product.
2. Is delivery to my address included or extra? Several companies charge past a mileage line.
3. How many play at once? This is where a truck, which rotates players through at a big event, and a lounge or field, where everyone plays at once, genuinely part ways.
4. What paperwork can you send my school, church, or park? A certificate of insurance is often the thing that decides whether you can book at all.
